For all of you who have always wanted to try your hand at fly fishing! This 1-day tutorial will have you casting in no time at all, and won't drain your bank account! Designed for raw beginners, or to top up existing skills

Start time: 9.00am
Introduction: 9am - brief outline of course.
classroom session: 9.15am - explanation and demonstration of gear assembly, tackle, etc.
Morning tea:10am - tea/coffee, etc.
Casting tuition:10.15am - your first contact with a fly rod!
Lunch:12noon - sandwiches/rolls, etc.
Casting tuition:1pm - back to the water for more casting.
Classroom session:2pm - what bug is that? Which fly to use?
Afternoon tea: 2.45pm - tea/coffee, etc
Casting tuition:3pm - more casting, different techniques.
Classroom session:4pm - where fish sit in the water and why, fishing techniques.
Finish:5pm - final chat and pack up.
One instructor will be working with numbers up to 12 persons. If any particular group prefers more than one for numbers under 12, please arrange with the instructor beforehand. Additional charges apply.
Minimum number required: 6 persons.
Maximum number allowed: 12 persons, unless prior arrangement is made.
Corporate groups welcomed, but prior booking is essential.
Personal tuition (1-on-1) is available at standard guiding rates.
Minimum Age:12 years.

No real physical restrictions unless wheelchair bound, in which case advance notice is required to find suitable area.
Any serious medical conditions must be relayed to the instructor.
Fly fishing is available to both genders and all ages except for young children who must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. For children under 12 years, please contact guide/instructor to discuss.
IMPORTANT NOTE!: Minimum number of 6 persons required to run event.

A 1-day session on the Goulburn River near Alexandra, where we provide participants with fly tackle, waders, lunch and refreshments for a full day of fly fishing tuition, covering all the basic skills in the fly fishing art - casting, line handling, which fly for which bug, where fish feed and live and why, and much more.
It doesn't matter if you have never fished at all - by the end of the day you'll be casting a fly with confidence!
