Kitesurfing Beginner Group Lesson (A) Moreton Bay

Kiteboarding is the latest craze in extreme watersports and it's here to stay. Learn to kiteboard in the warm flat waters of Moreton Bay surrounding Brisbane. This two hour lesson will help you to become a confident kiteboarder in the quickest, safest and most enjoyable manner.

This activity is undertaken in Moreton Bay, surrounding Brisbane city. The bay offers warm, flat and shallow water - ideal for learning to kitesurf.

Lessons are normally 2 hours long. Please arrive 10 minutes early to organise your equipment and prepare for your lesson.

There are 2-4 students to a group lesson.

The lesson will require some physical activity, so be well rested and fed to get the most out of your lesson. An average level of fitness is required. Please inform instructor of any injuries that may affect your ability to participate. Minimum age is 10 years old. No upper age limit!

In this 2 hour lesson you will learn how to fly a kiteboarding kite, perform self rescue and go body dragging. You will also be taught how to do this sport safely, setup the equipment properly and what equipment would be suitable for you. At the end of the lesson you will be ready to attend the Kitesurfing Lesson B - standing up on the kiteboard whilst flying the kite.

Instructors are qualified with IKO, first aid certificate and boat licence. A waiver/indemnity form will need to be filled out prior to first lesson.
