Some were grand sailing ships others were tugs or barges each with its own unique history including one of the very first iron built ships in the world. This half day trip is ideal for families and people who just want to relax and soak up the heritage this area has to offer. The lush forest of Grey Mangroves provides a haven for extensive bird and sea life. Located only 25 minutes from Adelaide CBD at Garden Island it makes it easy access for a day which is out of the ordinary. Best of Barossa Gourmet Food and Wine Tour for 2	Join us on our Best of Barossa Gourmet Food and Wine Tour including all the wonders of the Barossa Valley region with lunch & wine tastings. Throughout your day you will visit numerous wineries within the Barossa. All tours are personally escorted with our experienced wine guides. This tour departs Adelaide and travels into the Barossa Valley. A courtesy pick up service is provided from your Adelaide CBD hotel. Adelaide Adelaide South Australia This tour begins at 9am and concludes at approx 5pm. We operate with a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4 people. We can however cater for greater numbers - please call GoDo on 1300 46 36 48 if you have a group larger than 4. Please note this is a shared tour so there may be other tour goers joining you on the day. You will need to be 18 years and over to participate in the wine tasting. The itinerary may change to accommodate special interest of seasonal highlights. Note: Henschkes is closed Sundays You will begin a personally escorted journey that includes a city orientation tour. You travel through the scenic Torrens Gorge to the Barossa Valley. The Torrens Gorge is a natural chasm carved out of the Adelaide Hills by the River Torrens. If time permits we may stop at the Lyndoch bakery to taste the best of the fine German pastries. We travel over the Jacobs Creek for our first tasting of the fine wines at the Peter Lehmann winery. We visit Torbreck wine cellars, a small winery with rustic charm, making wines in traditional Barossa methods. We will also include visits to other small wineries and meet well-known wine identities. We stop for a stroll in the German town of Tanunda with time to discover the small shops, many of which specialise in crafts made by the locals. Before lunch we take the picturesque drive up to Menglers Hill ofr an unsurpassed view over the entire Valley. We continue into historic Angaston - the more English of the villages in the Barossa. Taking time to visit the South Australian Company Store specialising in fine locally made products or the local cheesemaker. Lunch will be alfresco under the vines or at Vitners Restaurant just out of Anfgaston. Our next stop may be Henschkes winery in Keyneton. This fifth generation German winery produces outstanding wines that incorporate the best of old world and state of the art wine making or historic Yalumba the biggest family run winery in Australia. If time permits we may visit small boutique producers such as Charles Melton or Turkey Flat. Private tours may include formal premium wine tasting at Penfolds in the morning (additional cost). A visit to Maggie Beer Farm shop is a must for food lovers. Alternatively, we may continue through the picturesque villages of Hills as we travel to Hahndorf, the German village and taste the fine wines produced by the Hahandorf Hill winery. V8 Race Car Drive Day - Adelaide	Here''s your chance to be a racing car driver for a day in a race-prepared V8 Commodore. You drive with a race driver in the passenger seat pushing you the whole way. The race includes lightning pitstops and driver changes, just like the Bathurst 1000. Adelaide Adelaide South Australia Each course is a full day session running from 9.00am to 5.00pm. SA courses run once a month There are 4 people per team. On track training is one on one. There can be up to 8 cars on the track at one time. You must be a confident manual driver and at least P plate licence standard. There is no need for any race experience, instructors are great with first-timers. We supply race suits and helmets, so wear comfortable footwear. You can use your own suit and helmet. Courses are conducted rain or shine. The day starts with a brief but comprehensive lecture on the day, the cars, advanced driving techniques including steering, braking, oversteer, understeer and racing lines. You are then dressed in a race suit and helmet and divided into teams of 4. You will take it in turns driving 5 to 6 laps at a time, getting faster and faster as the morning progresses. During the morning session you will practise driver changes, decide on a race order and maybe practise a race. After a sit-down gourmet lunch we are back on the track for a qualifying session, where each driver will drive 4 laps as fast as they can to try for that perfect lap and a chance at the fastest qualifying trophy. The co-ordinator will now calculate the handicaps for the race based on the qualifying times. A calculated time penalty is given to each of the fastest cars with the slowest car taking off first. At the end of the race points are calculated for each team and the second race is ready to start. In the end it''s back to the briefing room, get changed and prepare for the trophy presentation for 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Certificates are handed out to everybody, with their fastest lap time printed on it. An indemnity form will need to be signed for both the operator and the race circuit. For under 18 year-olds a parent/guardian will also need to sign the forms. The course is conducted once a month in WA and SA but only twice a year in TAS and NSW. Rally Driving in a Suburu WRX - Full Day (SA)	It takes around 10 years to reach the top in rallying and this is the first step! Build your confidence by rallying on a cleared area, then after lunch you're let loose on a simulated rally special stage. Experience hot laps with your instructor at full speed. Available in NSW, VIC, QLD and WA. This activity is based 1 hour west of Adelaide in Tailem Bend. Adelaide Adelaide South Australia 9.30am - 4.30pm Available on weekends, subject to availability. A minimum of 10 people is required for a scheduled date to run. Minimum age 16 years. You must know how to drive a car. All vehicles are manual and you will be given full instructions on how to operate them on the day. Casual dress, wear long trousers and closed-toe shoes. Heavy rain may cause cancellation, but you will be given as much advance warning as possible. We start at 9.30 am with coffee and biscuits, followed by an informative talk for 30 - 40 minutes which covers safety and essential hot talent tips to help you get the most out of the cars. Then it's up to the testing area to put into practice all the hot tips from the talk. Taking it in turns you will drive both cars in clockwise and anti-clockwise directions. After a morning of practice we stop for an excellent buffet lunch for 35 - 45 minutes, during which you'll get the opportunity to chat with your fellow participants and have a brief rest before starting the afternoon action! Here comes the really exciting part! You'll take turns in driving on the 'Simulated Rally Special Stage'. Driving on the special stage involves long laps in both cars in both a clockwise and anticlockwise direction, which is very challenging!! Then comes the adrenalin rush where you'll finish the day with 2 Hot Laps with an instructor! What's a Hot Lap you ask? It's where an instructor drives you in each car absolutely flat out! - Awesome Fun!! Cars include: Subaru WRX STI (current shape) 4WD, turbo intercooled Australian Rally Championship car and a Toyota Sprinter Group A, RWD car. The exact vehicle may differ from any photo shown as vehicles are rotated nationwide. In the case of mechanical failure the experience will be re-scheduled for a later date. You will have a waiting period when other participants are driving on the track but watching them is all part of the fun! If a booking is made and is not honoured by the client, the supplier reserves the right to charge a 100% cancellation fee and the forfeiture of the booking completely. Formula Ford Drive Day - SA	Follow in the footsteps of Schumacher, Senna and Mansell by getting behind the wheel of a high performance, full race spec. single seater formula Ford race car for an adrenalin pumping experience. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to go where in the past, only a select few have been. This activity takes place in Virginia, 30 minutes North of Adelaide Adelaide Adelaide South Australia The program runs for 4 hours either in a morning 8am to 12.00pm or afternoon 12:30pm to 4.30pm session. A one hour briefing is held the night before at our race workshop in Beveley, 5mins from the city. The drive day includes time spent helping in the pit lane and at least 25 laps of the circuit. There will be 2 drivers per car and a total group size of between 10 to 12 people. The days are run at least once a week all year round subject to availability. You must be over 18 years to participate. No license is necessary, as long as you are competent with a manual gearbox. You will need to sign an indemnity form. You must be over 5 foot tall and below 6 ft 5" to participate and weigh less than 120kgs. On arrival you will meet with your fellow drivers and instructors and be issued with your helmets and race apparel. Your safety briefing and technical discussion will be held the night before your drive day to enable you to have as much time in the cars as possible. The cars are all state of the art 1600cc Swift and Van Diemen single seat Formula Fords with 115hp 4 cylinder engines. The first part of your session is spent receiving comprehensive tuition as you master the short (club) circuit. A pace car is used to ensure that things are kept under control. You will be encouraged to participate as a team throughout, working together to get the race cars out of the pits and on to the track in the shortest possible time! Watch your confidence grow as you receive tuition from your professional instructors. After two sessions using the pace car it''s time to progress to your two open sessions where the pace car is removed. Throughout the program you will take it in turn behind the wheel and also engage in the various roles of pit crew such as preparing for the pit stop, driver change and push starts. The program runs for 4.5 hours. Participants meet in Virginia. 30 minutes North of Adelaide. Light refreshment of coffee, tea, juice and biscuits are provided. You are welcome to BYO lunch but no alcohol! This is available on scheduled days throughout the year and run almost weekly with some courses run on weekends.
