Touring with us is exclusive to one party and so there is no sharing at all.

Day 1
You'll be greeted by your friendly host, John Baldwin in a luxurious Daimler, and enjoy a picturesque drive through the beautiful southern Adelaide Hills to McLaren Vale. John will tailor the days visits to your particular wine tastes and preferences, and the wineries you visit may include Coriole Vineyards, d'Arenberg, Kay Bros Amery Vineyard or Marianberg. Other attractions may include olive oil, goat cheese and wood vinegar tastings. A 2 course gourmet lunch with wine is enjoyed at Limeburners restaurant and morning or afternoon tea is also included. Set off to your luxury accommodation via the beautiful Adelaide Hills and arrive at your guesthouse set among the vineyards, in the heart of the Barossa Valley, arriving at approximately 5pm. Relax and unwind and enjoy a fine 2 course meal at your guesthouse restaurant tonight.
Day 2
Enjoy a scrumptious cooked breakfast at your guesthouse before John's arrival at 9am to begin your day of wine touring in the beautiful Clare Valley. Winery tastings may include Skillogallee Winery, Sevenhill Cellars, Taylors Wines, Jim Barry Wines and Crabtree Wines, to name a few. A 2 course gourmet lunch with wine is enjoyed at Skillogallee Restaurant and afternoon tea is at the 'Coffee and Cork' or the historic site of Martindale Hall (Picnic at Hanging Rock was filmed there). Return to your guesthouse at 5pm and relax before your 7pm transfer to '1918' Restaurant where you'll enjoy a fine 3 course meal of local cuisine.
Day 3
After another delicious cooked breakfast, John will arrive at 9.30am and then you're off to discover the true jewel in the crown of Australian wine regions, the renowned Barossa Valley, famous for its full bodied dry, tablewine styles and classic vintages. Meet the winemakers, enjoy the culture and history and be entertained by John's commentary and knowledge of this area. Enjoy a 2 course lunch with wine, at Cafe Y or Vintners and taste the wares at Maggie Beers Farm Shop for afternoon tea. John will once again, choose wineries and attractions to suit your tastes and you will also have the rare opportunity to taste 100 year old Port at historic Seppeltsfield before heading back to your Adelaide guesthouse or the Adelaide Airport for a 5pm drop off.

To fully enjoy the wines of the Barossa, please don't plan on driving anywhere after the tour. South Australia has very strict laws on drinking and driving, so leave the driving to us.

Barossa pickup is 10am daily and return is at 5pm. Adelaide
pickups begin at 9.00am from the CBD with the drop off at 5.00pm. A
travel charge of $AUD150-00 (per car, for the return trip, on tour
day) is required for Adelaide pickups. $180-00 travel charge for
Airport or Glenelg pickups.
Tours are exclusive to your party, which can be from one person to 8 persons, where required. We do not have shared tours and can ensure that John Baldwin is the tour guide on every tour.

Tours are suitable for any age, although, due to the age of the Daimlers, seat belts are not fitted, and therefore it is at the discretion of the clients whether there are children aboard. A modern 2006 Mercedes Viano is available for touring if required.
You will be greeted at your accommodation at 10am, by John Baldwin in a rare and luxurious 1962 Daimler which was previously used in royal tours of the sixties. On meeting John, chat about your wine likes and dislikes and together, you can work out what you really would like the tour to include. You could be a true wine connoisseur or a keen beginner and John will tour with you accordingly. Overall, it is a fun day out, with wine knowledge and wine education at a level to suit you. If it is not the wine you are pursuing, the day can include many other interests and activites including visiting rose gardens, cheese tastings, bakeries, butchers, micro breweries, historical buildings, gracious gardens, dried fuit tastings at Angas Park Fruit Co., tastings of Maggie Beer fine regional gourmet products and viewing seventeenth century miesen porcelain ware. John will first take you to a cellar door with a wide variety of wines, both red and white and from there he will guide and help you to explore the wines which you will enjoy the most. He has an amazing talent for matching wines with people and for finding wine which you would not have known existed. The full day tour ensures that you view most of the historic wineries which have made the Barossa famous, even if you don't decide to stop and taste their wares. There are approximately 60 wineries in the Barossa and so with John's help, you will discover those most suited to you. Visit the wineries that are not on the standard tours and of course, you can always request a particular winery as John will always endeavour to fill all requests.
A 2 course gourmet lunch, with wine is enjoyed at either Salters, Vintners or Cafe Y which are some of the Barossa's fine regional restaurants. Morning or afternoon tea is also included. At the completion of the tour, you will be returned to your accommodation at approximately 5pm.

allocate at least 1 hour for the entire experience (please allow extra
time for weather delays). Please arrive 15 minutes before your booked
time. Flights run from 8am to 5pm - subject to availability.

The total maximum passenger weight is 250kg.
It is advisable to wear comfortable and practical clothes for getting in and out of an aircraft.
If the weather is not suitable and at the pilots discretion, the flight may be delayed or cancelled and rescheduled at a later date.
Prior to your arrival at the airport, the aircraft will have been prepared and checked out for your flight, so all you need to do is climb in and be ready for take off on board the PA 28 Piper Warrior.
Your light aircraft scenic flight will take you from Parafield Airport and fly to Adelaide city, past Morphettville racecourse and southbound towards Brighton Beach. Here, we then turn north to fly along the coast at 500 feet, for you to take in the magnificent coastal views against the backdrop of the spectacular Adelaide hills. We continue tracking up the coast towards Outer Harbour, to return you back for landing at Parafield Airport.

Your light aircraft scenic flight will take you from Parafield Airport to your chosen destination. The Barossa flight will take you over the wine region and continue along the Murray River over the towns of Swan Reach and Mannum.
The Mt Lofty flight will take you over the top of the mountain at 3500 ft then dip down to 500 ft so you can take in the sights of Strathalbyn and the historic port of Noarlunga and Outer Harbour. The coastal flight heads past Adelaide city towards Cape Jervis, Sellicks Beach and Port Noarlunga - certainly a breathtaking sight where the cliffs and hills meet the beach. A whale spotting during the months of May to Oct would cap off this wonderful trip.

approximately 50 minutes. Flights run from 8am to 5pm - subject to
availability.
1 participant and an instructor.
Maximum passenger weight 100kg - Minimum age 15 years.
It's recommended that you wear comfortable and practical clothes for getting in and out of an aircraft.
Weather may affect this experience if there is a cloud base lower than 2000 ft and less than 5km visibility. If this is the case your experience will be re-scheduled for a later date.
On arrival, an instructor will brief you about how to control an aeroplane, then show you how to do a pre-flight inspection of the aircrarft, before boarding the dual-control aeroplane to start up.
After taking off from Parafield Airport, you will climb to 1500ft and track northwest to the Parafield training area. Once established in the training area, your instructor will show you how each control works and give you complete control to practice flying the aircraft.
You will then be able to fly the aircraft back to Parafield, where the instructor will take over to land.
The departure can be viewed from the viewing benches at the front of the flying school building. Tea and coffee is available inside the school if spectators wish to wait for participants to return. |
