1 Day Kings Canyon Full Day Tour (Y19)

Travel with AAT Kings from Ayers Rock Resort to Kings Canyon Resort, stopping for breakfast at Kings Creek Station(own expense). Make the rocky climb to the rim of the canyon for marvellous views of Watarrka National Park. Or you can take a less strenuous walk to explore the canyon floor.

Departs: Daily at 4.00am (Oct - Mar) and 5.00am (Apr - Sep) from Ayers Rock Resort Returns: Approx. 4.00pm (Oct - Mar) and 5.00pm (Apr - Sep) to Ayers Rock Resort

Minimum numbers are 15 and maximum numbers are 45 people.

Reasonable level of fitness required. Please wear comfortable walking shoes and bring sun protection. It is recommended that you carry with you plenty of drinking water.

Travel with AAT Kings from Ayers Rock Resort to Kings Canyon Resort, stopping for breakfast at Kings Creek Station (own expense). Make the rocky climb to the rim of the canyon for marvellous views of Watarrka National Park. The climb may take up to three hours and is recommended only for those with a good level of fitness. Alternatively, you may wish to take a less strenuous walk to explore the boulder strewn canyon floor. After lunch (own expense), we make our way back to Ayers Rock Resort. Please note: During the hotter months of the year where temperatures can reach and exceed 36° C or 97° F, the Watarrka National Park Rangers strongly advise that visitors do not take part in the Kings Canyon Rim Climb. In this drier desert climate, heat exhaustion, over these hotter months, is a very high possibility and a danger in such remote regions. To ensure the safety and enjoyment of our clients we offer a guided walk along the Kings Canyon creek-bed as a suitable alternative on such days. Supplied by: AAT Kings
