Day 1 - Your first day is with Jungle Tours where you visit the Rainforest Habitat Wildlife Sanctuary at Port Douglas and cruise the majestic Daintree River. Overnight in the oldest rainforest on the planet. Day 2 - Your journey today takes you on the 4WD only Bloomfield Track with Adventure North. Journey through the heart of the World Heritage Daintree National Park. Learn about the intricacies of this fragile eco-system as you travel through this remote and beautiful environment, crossing rivers and mountain ranges. Lunch today is at the famous Lions Den Hotel, est in 1875 a typical Aussie bush pub in the middle of nowhere. Visit Black Mountains steeped in Aboriginal legend before arriving in Cooktown for your overnight stay Day 3 - is yours to explore Cooktown.With it's world-class James Cook Museum, rich history, walking trails, great fishing and friendl locals, Cooktown is a great place to visit. Today you have the option to walk with Aboriginal Elder Willie Gordon on his traditional lands. Late in the afternoon we depart Cooktown via the inland road, the Mulligan Highway. Travel through a diverse landscape which is the outback of Far North Queensland.
