All Inclusive Beginner Surf Lesson (4 Hours)

Surfing is safe, fun and easy when you learn with Byron Bay's original and best surf tour operator. Coaching since 1991, Terry Hannon and his professional team of accredited and sponsored instructors guarantee: `Stand and ride a wave for 40 metres!'

The tour goes for 4 hours. We pick you up at your accommodation and take you on a 20 minute journey to a choice of one of our many remote and pristine locations. After suiting up we have a half hour demonstration and practise on the sand. We surf for 2 hours then return you to your accommodation.

We take a maximum of 14 participants with 2 instructors. We use 1 instructor per 8 participants or less. Our average instructor-to-participant ratio is 1:5.

Bring: swimmers, towel, sunscreen and drinking water. No previous surfing experience is required, but each participant must be able to swim at least 50 metres. Surfing is not a recommended activity for sufferers of epilepsy and heart conditions. We take people aged 6 to 60+ with a reasonable level of fitness.

Feel the adrenalin surge like so much blood coursing through your veins ... crack an unwipable smile as you stand up and ride a wave for the first time ... immerse yourself in the moment and be at one with your body and nature! We teach you the safest and easiest surfing methods on the beach first with a demonstration and practise. Here we teach you about safe board handling and good water practice. Then it's into the water for 2 hours. We begin by individually pushing you onto small waves of about 1foot. Once you're standing up and riding them with our help, we teach you how to paddle on and catch your own. By the end of the session you will be catching and riding good, long waves to the beach.

We provide all equipment including safe, soft surfboards and long or short wetsuits and rash vests. Participants will be asked to sign a waiver. Spectators are permitted and will be able to ride with us, space permitting on the day. We do not cancel in the rain. We sometimes reschedule because of strong wind or storm conditions.
