Dolphin Sanctuary Self Guided Kayak Tour |
The Adelaide Dolphin Sanctuary is an area of incredible beauty and ecological importance. The sheltered, tree lined creeks of this area are an ideal environment for a kayaking adventure. Travelling by kayak is a unique way to see the dolphins or view the ship wrecks in the Maritime Heritage Trail.
We will meet you at the Garden Island boat ramp, Grand Trunkway, Gillman. This can be found in the Adelaide street directory. This location is about 30 minutes from Adelaide GPO and 10 minutes from Port Adelaide. Garden Island and the Dolphin Trail are sign posted from Port Adelaide. From the end of Port Road turn right onto St. Vincent Street and follow this around the docks to Eastern Parade then onto Grand Trunkway and over the Garden Island Bridge. Immediately after the bridge turn right and follow the road to the end. Here you will find the landscaped picnic area and public ramp. There are toilets available and BBQ facilities.
