Full Day Introduction to Fly Fishing

Learn to fly fish, let us show you how easy it can be, here in Sydney. Our workshops are designed to teach you the important basic skills to get you fly fishing successfully in freshwater or saltwater.

6 hours indoors and outdoors, (9am-4pm).

A minimum of 3 people .

The cost includes includes morning and afternoon tea. On the day please bring your lunch, a broad brimmed hat sunscreen and wet weather gear if required. You need to be of average fitness. Children must be a minimum age of 13 years old and must be accompanied by an adult.

In this workshop we cover the following subjects: clothing and equipment, how to set up your equipment, for example: knots, leaders and lines. Casting theory and practice and line handling with casting sessions conducted outdoors (on grass). All equipment and materials plus course notes are supplied.

Participants meet at Balgowlah North Public School. Manning St, North Balgowlah. Please bring a broad brimmed hat and sunscreen and wet weather gear. All equipment is supplied on a replace if broken or lost basis. NB: casting with Graphite rods is dangerous during electrical storms. If such conditions arise the casting session will be cancelled.
