Port Douglas
Cairns and Tropical North QLD Queensland
Board at 8.40am and return to the Marina at 4.30pm. We spend 5 hours at the reef.
You will have the opportunity to dive at three different sites throughout the day and when you do not dive, you are welcome to snorkel.
Your dive usually lasts up to 30 - 45 minutes.
Spend about 1.5 hours at each site.
A maximum of 4 introductory divers are taken in each group. Although our boats are large & spacious, we take a maximum of around 50 passengers.
No experience is necessary to SCUBA dive. Asthma and some other medical conditions may prevent you from diving.
Boarding at 8.40am we give you a chance to settle in and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee.
Once all aboard, we travel to the reef on our comfortable, fast and stable 23 metre boat.
Whilst travelling on Calypso to the reef, your PADI Dive Instructor will take you through a Discover Scuba Diving briefing and highlights all relevant safety skills.
At around 10.30am we arrive the outer Great Barrier Reef where we practice your new dive skills both on the boat and in the water. You are now ready to dive! Enjoy a 30-45 minute dive with your professional instructor to explore spectacular coral reefs with abundant marine life.
We pause for a quick morning tea before again enjoying the wonders of the largest collection of coral reefs in the world.
Throughout the day we visit 3 breathtaking sites - where you can dive up to three times throughout the day. We provide quality dive and snorkel gear
Wetsuits, lycra suits, prescription masks, flotation devices. Snorkelling equipment is also provided for when you want to relax on the waters surface & admire the view from above.
After snorkelling you enjoy a well deserved tropical buffet lunch before one of our experienced and helpful crew members hosts a interpretive Reef Chat. We then have afternoon tea and you have the opportunity to have a hot fresh water shower before departing the reef at 3.00pm and returning to the Marina at 4.30pm.
