Moreton Island Discovery Day Tour

A 4WD adventure to the beautiful Moreton Island - a true wilderness destination. Discover this paradise just a short sea ferry journey across Moreton Bay from Brisbane. Moreton Island is the third largest sand island in the world - 98% of which is national park.

This tour departs Brisbane, Fortitude Valley and Surfers Paradise and travels to Moreton Island.

Departs 6.30 - 7.30 am (depending on collection point) Returns 5.45 - 7.30pm.

We operate with a minimum of 5 passengers and a maximum of 10 passengers per vehicle. Overall we have a maximum of 10 vehicles per tour.

Remember to bring swimmers, towel, footwear essential such as sandals or walking shoes, sunscreen, sun hat and insect repellant.

All passengers need to be aged 5 years and over.

With no sealed roads on Moreton Island, our 4WDs are essential in getting you to the best locations. Tour includes: * Sea ferry across to Moreton Island. The journey from the Port of Brisbane to Moreton Island will take just over one hour. Sit back and enjoy your cruise down the Brisbane River and across Moreton Bay in the comfort of your luxurious FastCat ferry. Café and bar facilities available and the viewing deck is a great place to spot dolphins and dugongs as you pass through the Marine Park. Your guide will be available to provide expert commentary. * Eco-tour to Honeymoon Bay, Champagne Pool, North Point, Cape Moreton Lighthouse. Plenty of time for swimming and soaking up the sun as you look across the Bay to Brisbane and the Glass House mountains. Body boards etc. available. * The exhilaration of racing down the slopes of some of the World's steepest sand hills as you try sand tobogganing and sand boarding. Being Moreton's original sand boarding company we use only professional equipment. Safety is our primary concern when speeds up to 65kph can be reached! If you don't want to participate, watch the excitement and enjoy the spectacular scenery of the Desert area. * See the famous Tangalooma Wrecks and the western beaches of Moreton island. * View wild dolphins, sharks, turtles, and whales (in season) from Cape Moreton - one of Australia's best viewing spots. * Visit Blue Lagoon nestled behind the sand dunes of Eastern Beach * On your return cruise across Moreton Bay, watch the sun disappear behind the Glass House Mountains.
