Sea Kayaking Half Day Adventure - St Kilda

Escape overseas...come sea kayaking! Adventure, Wilderness and Tranquillity..a unique experience awaits you! Pulses accelerate as kayakers face the great ocean from sea level. No machines or fossil fuels, only salt spray, rolling water, sea birds and companions.

We depart from St Kilda, travel to around the St Kilda area and then return to the start.

St Kilda Melbourne Victoria

The experience lasts 3 hrs in total. Morning sessions start at 9.00 am and finish at 12 noon. Afternoon sessions start at 1p.m.and finish at 4 p.m. Minimum group number 4. Available everyday although the most popular days are weekends. Most popular months are October to April.

We require a minimum of 4 people to run each tour. Please note: if booking for a weekday, you will need to have at least a group of 4 people. On weekends, we can accept individuals or couples as we usually have the minimum numbers required. We have a maximum of 12 people per tour.

Participants must be reasonably active and over 16 years of age (for insurance purposes). People with current: bad backs, broken arms and legs, wrist injuries or dislocated shoulders should not attend. Participants must be able to swim 50 m non stop.

This tour is a sampler of what sea kayaking is like with out getting too tired but still having fun. St Kilda and Port Melbourne are both lively costal Melbourne towns with rich maritime and port history. Observe the city scape, paddle close to yachts and ferries while taking in views to Westgate bridge and Williamstown. You will be paddling in double sea kayaks for stability, speed and safety while single kayaks are also available for the more experienced clients. There are plenty of opportunities at the end of the tour to visit one of many inner city restaurant along the coast for lunch or dinner; so why not make a day of it!

Customers need to sign an indemnity form and medical form before they commence the trip. Dry bags are supplied for camera equipment and mobile phones. All staff have a sea kayaking guide or instructors qualification, level 2 first aid or wilderness first aid and at least 5 years experience.
