Birdsville Outback Queensland Queensland

A 15 Day extended remote camping tour with 11 days of bush camping.Departing Alice Springs on 21st July 2007, we collect passengers and depart at 7.45am for a 8.00am departure. We end our tour at sydney on 4th August at approximately 5.00pm.

This remote tour will be operated in two 4WD Cars that are specially fitted with the latest of remote equipment for safety.

No resitrictions. However the average age of our passengers are 50 - 60+. If you have camped before, this is of benefit but not a requirement. All camping equipment is provided. Our crew will be a tour guide / driver and tour cook who will be cooking all meals every day.

This is a remote desert tour and therefore has restricted water and is mainly bush camping. There is no minimum fitness level required however those not used to remote outback conditions should not attempt this tour.

On this 15 day tour you will experience the very best of the Simpson Desert and the Australian Outback. The Simpson offers many surprises, such as native animals, beautiful wildflowers, and the immense artesian bores that provide the water "lifeline" for this barren land. Departing from Alice Springs you will visit many of the Outback's unique townships such as Old Andado, Dalhousie, Poepple Corner, Eyre Creek, Birdsville, Haddon Corner, Innamincka, Fort Grey, White Cliffs and finally finish in Broken Hill. We follow the French Line and cross over 1200 dunes, experiencing the isolation of our early explorers. You will travel in our 4WD cars, camping under the stars along the way. Your drivers/guides are experienced in the area and know exactly where to spot those "must see" sites. For your added safety and reassurance all tours operate with a support vehicle and our crew have sattelite phones in case of emergency. All camping equipment and meals are included in this package.
