Your day begins with courtesy coach transfers from your Port Douglas accommodation to the Marina Mirage. Coffee, tea & muffins are available on board upon your arrival and during the Safety Briefing. Departure for the Great Barrier Reef is at 8:30am with a little over an hour traveling time.
The rest of the day is yours for snorkeling, diving or simply relaxing right on the Outer Reef.
All water sports create an appetite and a day on the reef would not be the same without a delicious, fresh tropical buffet lunch. An educational Reef Brief follows lunch in the air conditioned saloon and using our Reef Cinema we discuss the corals, the fish and the ecology of the Great Barrier Reef environment.
We then move to a second unique location where you carry on your water activity or participate in a Guided Snorkel Tour with a Marine Naturalist where the information discussed in the Reef Brief is brought to life before your eyes.
Following afternoon tea we depart the Reef for arrival back in Port Douglas at approximately 4:15-4:30pm for your transfer to your accommodation or an afternoon shop in the Marina Mirage.
As well as snorkeling we offer certified and introductory diving and trips on our glass bottom boat. These activities are optional extras and can be arranged on the day of travel.
We supply most things, however we do ask you to bring along your swimmers, towels, sun protection and a little cash if you wish to purchase diving, glass bottom boat, digital photos, items from the bar etc...
