Tully River Rafting - Full Day ex Cns & N/Beaches |
Australia's most famous one day white water rafting experience! Raft up to 45 rapids of adventure in magnificent World Heritage Rainforest with our experienced River Guides. Enjoy a riverside BBQ lunch
The Tully River is located 140 kilometres south of Cairns. The river flows through World Heritage Rainforest, after plunging over the 260m Tully Falls, upstream of the Put-In. Rafting starts just below the Karreeya Power Station, which can produce up to 88mw of electricity which equates to about 800cfs of water. The Tully River is a steep, technical grade 4 river, which requires constant manouvering by the guide and crew, on the crystal clear water, surrounded by ancient rainforest, ducking from electric blue butterflies, come rain or shine. Reptiles basking on the rocks, orchids flowering in the trees, ferns hanging off limbs and walls, waterfalls plunging to the river, smiling faces on staff and clients all add to make up this experience.
